Call from 866-315-7101. There was live person on the line. It was a telemarketing call.
Caller: Global Contact Services. Calling on behalf of Bank of America.

Rec'd another call from them yesterday March 10, 2009 from 866-315-7101, but did not notate the time of the call.

I called Bank of America 3-way which had previously informed me that these were fraudulent calls. Now that I had a BofA rep on the line and a rep from the so called "Bank of America Insurance Services" the Bank of America rep told me that they couldn't confirm that it was fraudulent.

The woman that said she was from the insurance department said that they were a 3rd party calling on behalf of Bank of America and that her company name is Global Contact Services.

She said they were offering accident insurance for automobile accidents.

I was then told that my number would be removed once and for all considering they have been calling for someone that is not me and that my phone is on the DNC and they shouldn't have called me to begin with.

I'm going to be giving a call to Global Contact Services and the FTC to confirm all this.

Caller: Global Contact Services. Calling on behalf of Bank of America.

Rec'd another call yesterday March 3, 2009 1:38 PM MST from ph# 866-315-7101. After the first 6 times they call, I contacted Bank of America and had them take my number of of Ms Booker's account. Then had them opt me out of special offers on my own account, and I had already told them not to call me again, plus I had already made it clear that I wasn't interested in insurance. So why they called again is beyond me.

What I do know is that since I spoke to them on February 4th and they told me it would take 30 days for my number to be taken off their list, it will be covered under the DNC if they call me after March 6th, 2009. And you'd better believe if they do call after that date I will be reporting it.

Call from 866-315-7101. I didn't pick up. It was a telemarketing call.
Calling on behalf of Bank Of Amarica Insurance Services.

Apparently passing a federal law such as DNC makes no impression on these morons. Have asked them not to call (more than 30 days ago), yet they persist. Lately, every day between 9:05AM and 9:25AM. What they are doing is showing their employer they are busy making calls, even if the target does not answer, respond, or want the product/service they are offering! Am thinking of aquiring an air horn to signal my lack of interest.

Rec'd call from 800-931-6317 January 2, 2009 6:18pm MST, 866-315-7101
February 3, 2009 12:56PM MST & February 4, 2009 10:32 AM MST, 866-484-8278
February 3, 2009 12:57 PM MST & February 4, 2009 4:31PM MST, and today February 6, 2009 10:22 AM MST all show up on the caller ID as Bank Of America. I answered one of these calls on February 4th and they asked for Michelle Booker who is someone that previously had my number, however, I've had this number since Apr 2007 and it is on the DNC. They said that since Michelle has an account with BofA that they have business with her and therefore the call is not covered by the DNC. The woman I spoke to said that BofA was offering insurance, and tried to solicit me. I told her I was not interested and to please stop calling. She said she would remove my number from their calling list but it would take up to 30 days. I guess there policy is to call twice a day to someone who already advsd they are not interested. What idiots!

It's Bank of America Leech Who's Allowed To Violate State & Federal Law On Debit Collection & Phone Harassment
And The Very Sad Part The Government Allows This Crap To Go On Without Any Type of Repercussion nor Any Type of Legal Action Against Those Leeches !

herold - 6/25/2010 5:38 PM

I did not answer because I saw "Toll Free" on my caller ID. The caller left no message on my answering machine.

It is to sell services from BofA

Aggravated - 11/21/2009 12:01 PM

This is a Bank of America telemarketing group who calls me several times a day. I searched the BoA website and found the following ways to stop the annoying harassment-

You can tell us your preferences by:

* Notifying us at bankofamerica.com/privacy and entering your information on our secure Web site (This also works for non-BoA customers)
* Calling us toll free at 1.888.341.5000
* Talking to a customer representative at a banking center or to your client relationship manager

It can take up to 12 weeks (!!) to opt out but the opt out is supposed to be good for 5 years. I just updated my privacy preferences. We'll see what happens.

Mitch - 8/7/2009 10:06 PM

This number is Bank of America telemarketing, offering you a 30-day trial in an insurance program. I am sure they make it hard to cancel, and then charge your account after the trial is over, as is usally the case.

Numerous unwanted calls from 866-515-7101. Caller ID shows "unavailable"
(History:Thur 07/09 2:52P;Fri 07/10 3:41P;Mo 0727 5:28P;Wed 07/29 1:22P;
Mo 07/29 6:33P. Very annoying!

Matthew - 5/27/2009 8:24 PM

I don't know who called but I didn't answer it. It said unknown name

John C - 5/13/2009 11:03 AM

I use an electronic call blocker that reads the called ID and automatically hangs up on the unwanted 800 numbers. I have had one of these for over a year and it works great. Truly does eliminate all of the unwanted 800 B.S. calls as well as any other number that you don't want calling you. The one I have can be seen here:

digitone.com

Carol H - 5/12/2009 4:33 PM

Call came in to my cell phone. I recognized it as the number of a telemarketer that previously called several times (several times a day) and I disconnected the call before the second ring.

Jules - 4/21/2009 5:35 PM

I looked down the list and see Bank of America listed. I have an account with them. But I NEVER gave them my home fax line. They must be dialing through the phonebook.

Michelle - 4/15/2009 1:57 PM

Cal thanks for posting that info. I called and left a message at that extension. Hopefully after threatening to sue them the calls will stop. They've called a total of 16 times now. Two just today and oddly enough one of the calls was right when I picked up the phone to call them.

Cal - 4/14/2009 10:17 AM

I found out they are

Financial Asset Management Systems
Corporate Offices
2859 Paces Ferry Road
Suite 510
Atlanta, GA 30339

So very annoying, if I answer they ask for my name or hang up, if I don't answer, I get a dial tone on my voicemail.
I get these calls all the time-I did a day of research, for the greater good I hope, and I FINALLY GOT THEIR # it's
(probably should dial *67 first, wait for dial tone then call)

1-636-925-5300

They are so shocked to get a call back since it's not the number they called from. I tried many avenues, and this is them. Call them!
If somebody answers, you may express your displeasure, if nobody answers, you can reach a Sol Canton at extension 2104 when prompted for an extension. (Maybe other extensions too, but that's the one I got that went through) They call from several different numbers, and they are truly bottom feeders.
FIGHT BACK!
I finally reached a 'concerned' manager at one point, and you could hear his 'I'm going to keep this person on until I get some information' tone, so make sure you sign up for the 'Do Not Call List' at

donotcall.gov

It takes 10 seconds to sign up and after 30 days you can make a formal complaint.

Michelle - 4/9/2009 6:11 AM

Have been called 11 times in the past few days by this number. I called Bank of America and I was told that this is not them calling and they will be investigating. My number is unlisted, on the do not call list and I do not have any accounts associated with Bank of America. BoA also said not to give out any info because these people are phishing.

Champion - 3/26/2009 1:38 PM

Very annoying. Recorded message starts in the middle. No idea who in this household is being called. No idea why we need to call back so we ignore the message and the calls. Six such calls in the last four days alone.

bill - 3/20/2009 10:32 AM

just called them back and went through and got put on there do-not-call list, computer said will take effect within 30 days.

Unhappy Cust. - 12/13/2008 10:45 AM

After telling them I didn't want to hear another word yesterday, they are calling from the same number again today!!! Ugh!

The privacy options are buried on the B of A site, but they are there... You can ask to be removed from the phone/mailing/email list. I requested removal but it said the changes could take 12 weeks to be effective!

Unhappy Cust. - 12/12/2008 6:43 PM

Bank of America wanting me to "review" a 30 day trial of short term disability insurance. I said over and over that I'm not interested and she kept saying I do not need to make a decision, I just need to "review" the offer. When I had to talk over her to say I was not interested in hearing another word from her, she spouted out some call back #, a reference #, then hung up on me without thanking me for my time or anything. If it's not one B of A "deal" it's another. These people are persistent and will not let you have a moments peace.

PS - I am such an important customer, yet they can't even figure out that I'm a "Ms." not a "Mrs."

COZ - 8/20/2008 11:14 PM

Same thing here they called from Bank of America with am offer and after they told me the offer they wanted to put me with someone in charge with the prossesing. My phone number is on Do Not Call List and I keep receive calls. I know i have to renew once a year and i do that but it seems is not working.

I get calls from this number multiple times a day. I answered once earlier this week and it was some guy from Bank of America. He was pushing some service for my bank account on me and after I started getting a attitude with him about how I refused to get it, he immediately hung up.

MKJ - 1/21/2008 2:45 PM

Advised caller he had the wrong number when he asked for someone who does not live here. He insisted on spelling the name and again was told he had the wrong number. He became more persistant by asking "when will she be home?". Finally, I angrily told him that I've only had this phone line for 6 weeks (true, just moved into a new house) and to place me on the DNC list, even though I am already on it. He politely apologized and said he'd take my phone # off their list.

kb - 1/20/2008 8:08 AM

I am on the do not call registry. This number has called numerous times. One time left a message "Bank of America". Called back no one answers. I don't bank with them. Sounds like spammers. I'm so tired of these people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

jfk - 1/4/2008 12:48 AM

I got same calling from BOA.
So I goto BOA website, click onto privacy policies & preferences,
and fill-in privacy policies and preferences form on line.

I need to fill-in name, address,
and relationship with BOA (I choose personal account),
click yes to stop BOA calling (you can input 1-3 phone#),
also not to share information to third party (Internal to BOA).

I got opt-out preferences submitted successfully.
Will see if can stop BOA calling.

Go luck to me.

mark57 - 12/12/2007 7:16 PM

According to your website this call is from Bank of America. I am a long time customer of BofA but I do not appreciate them calling me to sell "stuff" to me(insurance, privacy protection, etc.)I never answer and they never leave a msg. I do not believe the fact that I am a BofA customer is the reason they are calling, I think they are calling everybody trying to sell their goods.

- - - - 12/5/2007 9:27 PM

I've received at least four calls recently from 866-315-7101 with no message. When I called the number shown on my caller ID, a recording claimed to be Bank of America Insurance Services and implied they wanted to sell some services to me. I selected option 2 and left my number to be removed from their call list. My old BofA account was closed months ago. It seems to me that these are the same people who harrassed me about six months ago during which conversation I requested never to be called again. My number is on the Do Not Call List, but apparently they don't care. GRRRRRR!!!

Kellie - 12/4/2007 2:06 PM

Registered on Caller ID, Unknown Name 866-315-7101. Hit reject button again since this is multiple numbers from BOA as reported here. Our number is on the National Do Not Call List.

Jackie - 11/6/2007 7:58 PM

I receive calls almost everyday from this number. I have caller ID and do not answer. I also am on the do not call list, but that doesn't deter these folks. I am sick of this type of interruption.

zd - 11/5/2007 4:40 PM

bank of america insurance
A new bank of america scam! Even if you are on the national do not call list they call you, because you have a bank of america bank account. They will offer you the "life insurance". And even if you say no; you get signed up. Then you have to call your branch location within 30 days to cancel it; even though you never wanted it or agreed to it in the first place.
You can call the phone number back and enter your phone number into the "bank of america do not call list" (since they are somehow above the governments do not call list) if you complete this then it lets you know that your number will be placed on the do not call list in 30 days. how convenient

HD - 11/2/2007 4:59 PM

Person said they wanted to send me a free Sprint phone. Had my hubby's name on file, asked me for my name. Asked me for my b-day (to confirm I'm over 18) and asked me for my driver's license #. Supposedly the mailman is supposed to verify the info before handing the phone over? I was asleep when they called so I wasn't thinking clearly, but by the time they asked for my driver's license I told him they were asking for too much info.
