Rec'd another call from them yesterday March 10, 2009 from 866-315-7101, but did not notate the time of the call. I called Bank of America 3-way which had previously informed me that these were fraudulent calls. Now that I had a BofA rep on the line and a rep from the so called "Bank of America Insurance Services" the Bank of America rep told me that they couldn't confirm that it was fraudulent. The woman that said she was from the insurance department said that they were a 3rd party calling on behalf of Bank of America and that her company name is Global Contact Services. She said they were offering accident insurance for automobile accidents. I was then told that my number would be removed once and for all considering they have been calling for someone that is not me and that my phone is on the DNC and they shouldn't have called me to begin with. I'm going to be giving a call to Global Contact Services and the FTC to confirm all this. Caller ID: BANK OF AMERICA
Rec'd another call yesterday March 3, 2009 1:38 PM MST from ph# 866-315-7101. After the first 6 times they call, I contacted Bank of America and had them take my number of of Ms Booker's account. Then had them opt me out of special offers on my own account, and I had already told them not to call me again, plus I had already made it clear that I wasn't interested in insurance. So why they called again is beyond me. What I do know is that since I spoke to them on February 4th and they told me it would take 30 days for my number to be taken off their list, it will be covered under the DNC if they call me after March 6th, 2009. Apparently passing a federal law such as DNC makes no impression on these morons. Have asked them not to call (more than 30 days ago), yet they persist. Lately, every day between 9:05AM and 9:25AM. What they are doing is showing their employer they are busy making calls, even if the target does not answer, respond, or want the product/service they are offering! Am thinking of aquiring an air horn to signal my lack of interest.
Rec'd call from 800-931-6317 January 2, 2009 6:18pm MST, 866-315-7101 February 3, 2009 12:56PM MST & February 4, 2009 10:32 AM MST, 866-484-8278 February 3, 2009 12:57 PM MST & February 4, 2009 4:31PM MST, and today February 6, 2009 10:22 AM MST all show up on the caller ID as Bank Of America. I answered one of these calls on February 4th and they asked for Michelle Booker who is someone that previously had my number, however, I've had this number since Apr 2007 and it is on the DNC. They said that since Michelle has an account with BofA that they have business with her and therefore the call is not covered by the DNC. The woman I spoke to said that BofA was offering insurance, and tried to solicit me. I told her I was not interested and to please stop calling. She said she would remove my number from their calling list but it would take up to 30 days. I guess there policy is to call twice a day to someone who already advsd they are not interested. This is a Bank of America Insurance sale. Call 18663157101, press 1, wait for the prompt to enter your phone number for the do not call list and enter it. You should get a messag stating the entry was successful and will take effect in 30 days. There is a loophole in the national do not call list in that if you do business with the company or one of their subsidiaries (in this case, a checking account or a loan) then you are considered to be in business relations with the company and they can call you. If a company that your 'in relations' with does not have a do not call list then your only option is to sever your relations with them and after 30 days from the severence the national donotcall law takes affect with that company in regards to your number.

Twins Cities, MN again calling me at 7:59 pm and then calling me back again at 8:15 under Tollfree number 000-000-0000. I guess they think that I'm stupid. FDCPA states that collection agengies are not to call you after 8:00 pm.Still calling for the person that hasn't lived here in over five years. These people have been calling me for over a year and a half for something that doesn't even pertain to me. Nothing like being harassed. I've told them not to call this number and they call and then they call under tollfree.This is the sixth time that they have called me today. Can you say, "cease and desist"?They are rude and hang up on me when I tell them not to call this number or me because I'm sick with a tumor in my brain and suffer from extrem headaches.
called back the 866-315-7101 number and pressed 1, then it gave me the option to add my number to the BoA "Do not call list"... If it works it will be worth it, b/c I hate all of these sales calls!!
These guys call everyday. I am also on the do not call list. We NEVER pick up the phone!
Keep getting calls from this 800 service as identified by caller id. Since we don't pick up, there has been 3 different 800 service numbers.
Just call the number back & press 1, then you get an option to remove yourself from their call list. It's Bank of America Insurance Services.

This number has called my phone almost everyday for weeks. There is never any message. I am very tired of it.
i finally answered this call after about 50 times of them calling. claimed to be with bank of america and aig insurance to give me a "reward" for being such a loyal and good BOA customer...for using their BOA credit card. I've never had a BOA credit card and when I told them that, he hung up. I wouldn't give these people ANY information.

We keep getting calls from here. We keep our answer machine now because of calls like this. When we did answer, person on other end would not quit asking for a certain person, then went in to sales pitch, they just don't give up. We too are on do not call list. Guess it doesn't work?
I get calls everyday for my husband from them, before I can ask them to remove us from the list as I also am the account holder they hang up, when I called back today it says they are closed. I am also complaining to BOA and letting them know how much I dont appreciate them giving our info out.

It is Bank of America Insurance Services. BoA has a website where you can request to not be contacted for marketing purposes. I made that request about 3 months ago and am still getting these calls.

This number keeps on appearing on my caller ID. They never answer and they're pissing me off. I'm on the do-not-call list. Yet the call and waste my time.
Has called at least twice a day over the past month anywhere from 8:45 a.m.to 9:00 p.m. When I tell them my husband (who they ask for) isn't home, they won't leave a message, just say it's a courtesy call and they'll call back. We are also on the Do Not Call list.

After receiving many calls over the past 2 months, never picking up, I decided to google the number. Glad I did after reading this. My thinking, maybe another company in competition with BofA may be making these calls to discredit their company to drive customers away.
The caller calls at least 6 times per day, goes through the obligatory 4 to 5 rings then after transferring to the voice mail, they hang up---when you dial the number back, if you get anything besides a busy signal, they never answer. We are on the do not call list---what else must we do?!

So I was getting the 866 number that called ten times a day and just know I got a call from the same number however it has an area code of 816 (Missouri). Who are these people and why are they calling me????

The FTC does not investigate individual complaints, but perhaps if 55 calls from this one number were believed to be in violation, maybe they would take action and enforce it.

They call at least once a day, every day. They keep asking for me if my husband answers, and refuse to leave a message with him. If neither of us are home (they usually call during work hours), they never leave a message. I've grown almost numb to their constant harrassment. I *AM* a BofA banking customer, but between this and other changes they've made, I'm probably going to switch banks.Thing is, I think I've already talked to these people once before, and told them to never call me again.

They were selling accident insurance from (IIRC) Great American. I said I wasn't interested and asked them to take my number off the call list.
